The other night it was late, and I wanted an easy activity for my toddler to do the following morning.

As a busy mom of three, I don’t have time for cutting and prepping activities. But I do have 3 minutes to set up a low prep play prompt, and this one was a hit!

Toddlers need open-ended play.
Open-ended toys allow children to explore without a definitive beginning or end.
Every time the child plays, a different play pattern connects with the previous one. We aspire to guide our children to build upon prior knowledge. Just like painting with a toddler, momentum with play grows stronger over time.
Toddlers need learning activities that repeat play schemas. Using tape to make simple car tracks has been a winner every time.
