What is my toddler learning?
The best toddler activities are kept simple. One of my favorite skills to review with my toddler is color sorting. But you don’t have to go all in and sort 8 colors the first time! Begin with color sorting primary colors and slowly add more colors with mastery.
Remember, childhood is not a race. We can provide many learning activities for our children to develop and strengthen their knowledge over a few years.
This easy toddler Easter activity strengthens your child’s hand-eye coordination and fine motor strength.

Supplies:
Supplies for children should be kept simple. You can see that most supplies we use at home are everyday items. I like to use what we already own when I create toddler activities. If you don’t have the plastic Easter eggs, I have this Easter water sensory bin and this fine-motor Easter activity to put them to good use.

What I noticed as my toddler plays
My toddler loved going through each Easter egg and finding the color inside!
He also loved matching the pom poms to the color on the paper. After each match, my three-year-old would look at me and proudly announce the color name.
As a result, it was pure joy for him! Cracking the eggs is a fine motor activity that will help with future pencil grip. – Read all about the Ages and Stages of Pencil Grip.
