Let’s talk capitalization.
I want my children to recognize thier name with upper and lowercase letters. Here, I have a poster using all capital letters. The next time we decorate his name, it will have a capital H and lowercase letters to follow.
I want my child to see and recognize both.
Why is this important?
This practice is helping with letter recognition (I’ve got a post all about letter recognition) and seeing that names can take on a few different variations. When it comes time to teach my child how to write his name, we will use lowercase letters to follow the first initial.

When children finish, hang the name poster on thier bedroom door!
Children love to see the appreciation of their work, and it also helps your child become familiar with the letters within thier name.
Setting these up name posters is simple!
