Easter art paintings can be kept simple!
How do I know that Easter art paintings don’t need to be complicated?
Because my three boys just finished painting the most colorful Easter eggs out of recycled cardboard!
That’s right. Recycled cardboard and some paints are all it took to get this simple Easter art project started and a quiet hum going in the kitchen.

Easter art paintings are for multiple ages!
My 2.5-year-old, almost five-year-old, and six-year-old all joined in for this Easter craft.
But first!
Let’s talk about how to paint with kids:

This painting setup takes only a few minutes.
The best part is after quick prep, my toddler and preschooler can take the lead. This simple Easter art project allows creativity to flourish from THEM, not ME.
So often, we search Pinterest for ideas only to find ones that the parent created.

This Easter painting is as easy as it looks.
I went to the garage and found some boxes.
Cut the boxes down into large squares and drew Easter eggs with my black marker.
Hand over the outlined egg over to my boys, and the rest was up to them.
When they finished all of the eggs I had created for them, they then made some own designs.
After the eggs, they created a free-choice painting to their heart’s content.
I am telling you, painting with kids is a miracle for calming children and allowing creativity to flourish.

Once my boys began painting Easter eggs, there was no stopping them!
The other funny thing that happens when kids paint is that the room gets hushed. Art is influential for a child’s development and is encouraged at all ages and stages of life.
