Bring on the preschool tape maze!
You know me. My love for painter’s tape grows deep. It’s been a simple (yet thrilling) discovery that I had no idea I needed before kids. Allow this preschool tape maze to win you over as well.
Not only did my preschooler dive deep into imaginary play, but his hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills also strengthened as he played. You know there is always a little method to my madness.

I know my four-year-old enjoys his race cars, so I added them to our Breakfast Invitation. Wait. What is a Breakfast Invitation? I have the answers you need in that link.
Not sure about the race cars? That’s an easy solution!
If you have a child that prefers counting bears over race cars, play with them! I bet the toy bears will find thier way along a fun path to home. Think about what your child enjoys and insert it into this idea.

Simple, casual conversations with my child through play help me better understand how he thinks and learns. It is incredible what stems from simple play.

These tape lines are pretty neat. My four-year-old thought so!
That is until he had his ideas to make some additions and adjustments. You know what? I am 100% here for that.
After he played for some time (and I sipped my hot tea), he asked for a few more parking spots and diagonals.

Did you notice the dot stickers?
With this easy indoor activity, I also want to help my preschooler move from left to right. I do this by adding a green dot sticker to the left side of the maze and a red sticker to the other side of the track.
My preschooler’s job is to bring all the race cars to thier parking spots.
Letters that we write have lines, straights, curves, diagonals, etc. We can practice writing before we ask our early learners to write them! Let’s begin with simple fine motor hand movements to start the rhythm of letters first.
