Ah, Halloween. I need a peanut-free Halloween party for my preschooler, please! Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Snicker Bars used to tempt me every time. Like… Every. Single. Time. It was anything but a peanut-free Halloween party! But not anymore. The sight of a peanut makes my heart skip a beat – and the thought of hidden peanuts sends me on high alert because of my preschooler’s peanut allergy.
Whether providing snacks for a school party or having one at home, here is how you can throw your preschooler (or your peanut-allergy buddy) the most adorable, fun-loving, PEANUT-FREE Halloween Party.

Why You Need a Peanut-Free Party
Did you know that 1 in every 13 children has a food allergy, and a sand-grain amount of peanut could put some children into anaphylactic shock?
The statistics are frightening. ADIOS peanut products and cheers to a reinvented, stylish, peanut-free party. It will entertain your preschooler so well they’re gonna need a nap to recharge. – I made that last part up. But we can all hope…

How to Throw a Peanut-Free Party
Peanut-Free Halloween Decorations
For this party, I teamed up with two incredible Etsy shops.
- Blossom Stamps provided us with their peanut-free stamp that you’ll see on the images – isn’t it, darling? This ‘no peanut symbol’ is a precious image for non-readers. My preschooler looks for this symbol on packaged items before he eats.
- One Tiny Heart – they gifted us our Happy Halloween Banner with teal pumpkin for the Teal Pumpkin Project. This banner is the perfect addition to our peanut-free Halloween party.
I love that we could include this stamp with our party to acknowledge the peanut-free snacks. It’s also perfect for class parties!
Remember, peanut-free does not only mean any peanuts. It means no peanuts on the shared equipment or shared factory. We have been back to Blossom Stamps for gifts and our Days with Grey logo.
- Pre-plan activities – I have a fun list below for you to choose from that fits best for your kids and accessible supplies!
- Reuse items already in your home – I took a look around for used cans and jars and decorated them with some extra supplies.

A Peanut-Free Halloween Party is Inclusive and Fun
There are many options to make a nut-friendly party for all ages. How will you celebrate a peanut-free Halloween party?
Frequently Asked Questions
Great question! Finding peanut free candy is like a needle in a haystack. Oftentimes shared equipment information and factories change. Some favorite brands are Enjoy Life and YumEarth. Always read labels and contact the brand before eating.
Similar to peanut free candy, factories and shared equipment change. Enjoy Life and YumEarth are also tree nut free. Always read labels and contact the brand before eating.
Friends! Think about a small group of friends that you enjoy spending time with. The younger my child is, the less people I invite to celebrate. Big parties and celebrations can overwhelm children and sometimes the best Halloween parties are those that are small and simple.
Parties can be stressful for young children with all the people and commotion. Prepare for parties at home by practicing with family members or inviting over a friend for a playdate. This socialization will help a child become more comfortable with new situations. It is helpful to allow your child time to get familiar with the new party space.
