Easy Kid's Christmas Ornament Activity

An easy and festive kid's Christmas ornament activity that will inspire creativity, build fine motor skills, and welcome the holiday spirit!

Materials

  • white paper
  • paint sticks
  • hole punch
  • yarn

Instructions

  • Cut 5-7 simple circles and ovals out of white construction paper as the ornaments.
  • Cut the yarn or ribbon into 3-4 inch strands.
  • Place the paper ornaments, pre-cut yarn, hole puncher, and decorating mediums out on the table.
  • Invite your child to hole punch and decorate the ornaments.
  • String and tie the yarn or ribbon through the hole to secure it.
  • Hang the ornaments on your tree or display them as decorations around your home.

PRO-TIP Notes:
  • Try Kwik Stix, watercolors, crayons, markers, or even stickers to decorate the ornaments.
  • Use whatever medium your kids like to use for decorating – but limit to 2 to avoid overwhelming them.
  • Don’t have yarn? Use holiday ribbon to amp up the festive Christmas spirit!
